PERSONALIZED SOMMELIER WINELAND TOURS

Ewan Mackenzie, aka The Wine Thief, is available for private hire to assist in escorting small groups out into the winelands on guided tours, focusing on clients’ particular wine preferences and taking them to those specific Cape wine regions. Providing one-on-one sessions with the winemakers adds an even more tailor-made experience to the behind-the-scenes elements of the process – with barrel tastings, vineyard tours and private dining experiences all on offer.

Ever thought of entertaining your friends with a private wine tasting at your own home? Perhaps even going to the extent of inviting your guests to bring a selection of their favourite dishes along and then having them professionally paired by your own personal Sommelier, as they guide you through the tasting experience? Well now everybody can impress their friends, or even their work colleagues at a corporate function with this service. The Wine Thief is comfortable in commanding the attention of 100 guests, on stage, at a corporate banquet to discreetly adding a touch of class to your private dinner party at home. Whether it’s a large-scale Industry event or a smaller scale function, services can be provided from assisting in the curation, execution to behind the scenes logistics and coordination. One of the main collaborations, as an example, is the ‘Fresh’ Festivals of both Constantia and Somerset West, hosting up to 1300 guests in unique winelands settings.
